The cut-out is the whole move: a clean circular void carved out of an otherwise enveloping form. That's where the name comes from, and it's the first thing anyone notices.
Upholstered in a rich, light-catching velvet, it reads as much like a sculpture as a seat — deep enough to properly lounge in, bold enough to hold a room on its own.
